About the Author
Before you buy the book or listen to any of my advice you might want to find out a bit more about me...
My name is Tim Marston and I own and run Juggling Inferno; one of the busiest fire performance companies in the UK. We perform hundreds of shows a year both in this country and internationally for a wide range of corporate and private clients.
I got into fire performance as a hobby over ten years ago and for the last five years have been performing professionally. I became a full-time fire performer by studying and then applying marketing techniques used by performers, and businesses in general. As I focused my efforts on what worked best for me, I realised that I could reduce the amount of time and investment to a minimum whilst steadily getting more bookings year on year.
It turned out that I was a bit of a geek when it came to marketing! I enjoyed the challenge of it all and because of this I figured out a lot of very useful techniques. I realised early on that there are a lot of dodgy products and companies out there trying to rip people off with over-priced or ineffective products. Whilst doing my research I also found little or no help for freelance performers and entertainers trying to start or improve their career.
I also realised that a lot of performers (myself included) weren’t using the huge power of the Internet to generate bookings so I made it my mission in life to learn as much as possible about Internet marketing and find out how to apply this knowledge to get more gigs. Understanding the power of search engines to help businesses succeed was also a huge moment for me. My career took off in a big way and around 80% of the shows and performances done by Juggling Inferno today come from Internet driven enquiries.
To cut a long story short, I decided to write a book and created this website so I can share my experiences, knowledge and secrets with you. I hope you enjoy the site and find it useful. Feel free to contact me with any questions you might have or check out my FAQs.
